Acrylic frames are slowly replacing the regular glass frame we use. The prime reason to do so as acrylic is stronger than glass and it won’t break in case dropped. You can make the whole cover of the picture with acrylic and not just the front unlike glass. Just as glass, the acrylic will also get dirty in due time. So, you have to clean it once in awhile and in this post I will explain a very salient way to do so.
Remove the picture before you start any cleaning process. You don’t want your picture to spoil. After all the frame is there for the painting only.
Get a bowl and fill it warm water and a drop or two of dish washing liquid. Use a microfiber to clean the acrylic in Melbourne and moisten it with cleaning solutions.
Wipe the frame thoroughly and apply pressure very gently. Clean the whole frame inside and outside.
Dry the frame with dry microfiber cloth and do not leave it for air day. You can see water droplets once it is dry, so make sure to wipe it clean.
